Mid Launch/Mid Spin

To automate your golf game, you may need to automate your golf equipment. Meet the all-new, mid-launch, mid-spin ALDILA Approach. Nearly every step of Approach’s construction process is automated to bring you a more consistent, lighter product than traditional steel shafts. ALDILA Approach’s foundation is built using a single sheet of tow fabric dubbed Infinity Fiber Core. From there, the shaft goes through a Multi-Stage Compression sequence with a nearly fully-automated, filament-wound core and is finished off with a 90 degree, high modulus Radial Wound Fiber hoop layer.

So what does this all mean? A lighter weight, composite shaft that can match the consistency of steel shafts while enabling our engineers to go lighter in weight than most steel iron shafts. The 90-degree, visible Radial Wound Fiber hoop layer is used to keep Approach from buckling when under load, thereby minimizing the shaft’s ovalization and increasing its stability.     Infinity Fiber Core + Radial Wound Fiber

    The shaft’s core is built from a single continuous carbon fiber tow with visible, 30 ton high strength radial wound fiber on outermost layer to prevent shaft deformation.

    Multi-Stage Compression Construction

    A stronger, tighter, seamless construction process that matches consistency of steel while being able to go lighter. Reduces voids in shaft for more consistent performance.
